TV advert: Gorilla Cadbury Advert Visual Codes- Extreme close ups, zooms out to reveal drums, emphasises it's a gorilla. Drums in the advert add comic value. The song is well known, intense, lack of speech adds to power, body language not speech.
Music Video: Ok Go- This too shall pass The certain things in the music video make the video memorable, causing people to talk about it. The use of glasses filled with water to resemble the song and keeping the equipment sounds in to make in different with the song. The chain reaction develops and tells a story.
Film Trailer:The Woman In Black 2-Angel of Death Dark lighting/low light Fog means that is hard to see - tension/suspense. The audio is quiet and subtle in the beginning which leads to it being loud/creepy/eerie and slightly childlike: Nightmare-woman coming ceiling/toys moving etc. Editing- all fits correctly/added into a story sequence which flickers like the first film with the spinning picture and eye. Shots are varied and work well together like a flicker board. Narrative: WWII/ school children evacuated/women still in the house when you think its empty etc.
Magazine Cover- Empire cover Johnny Depp The magazine has a bright background/only picture is of Johnny Depp so you can't get distracted/image makes up most of the page and instead of showing the title its cover is made up mostly of the image. Contrasting colours-keeps the well known red(title). The colours are in sequence e.g. yellow and white and the certain titles are bold compared to the other. The picture has been layered on top of the Empire/showing the importance. Iconic image rather than just like a boat to show what they are wanting to show.
DVD cover- Wolf of Wall Street Colour(yellow)-could represent success and money. The picture of him is controlled/ and you see the chaos behind. His name makes it something to see, you are advertising the audience to the film using his name. The title is bold with the black background. Dicaprio is layered slightly over the title, overshadows the other actors.
