This story was very interesting due to the varied content and different topics. I had seen this whole story been broadcasted when the crash had happened, it was truly heartbreaking and opened your eyes to the law and how breaking it costs lives. I am happy to see that Tracy Morgan is back as he was truly a talented man and didn't bore you for a second, but I felt that hardest thing was that his friend didn't make it in the crash. I watched Tracy's first interview after the crash and it truly blew me away and was so emotional.  After watching this interview and reading this article it shows a lot of courage on his part as he had lost a friend more like brother and he couldn't spend his days growing old with him. It must be hard for him but also the fact that he has chosen to return shows a lot of commitment and love towards his fans but also towards himself and making this tragedy a moment and using it to become a better person. Overall I liked this article as...

BFI Short Film Trip Review

Image
On Wednesday 7th October 2015, we travelled up to London to the BFI London Film Festival to watch an overall of 6 short films, from all different directors and plots. The collection of shorts was called ' New British Shorts', so as you can tell they were either produced or directed by someone who was British or shot around Britain. 1. OPERATOR Director: Caroline Bartleet UK 2015 6mins Gemma wakes to find her house on fire. Trapped with her son, she dials 999. The operator who answers holds Gemma's life in her hands. This short was so interesting due to the fast paced event that is occurring, although you are not there for this event you feel that you could be the person on the call. Every minute of this film had my eyes glued, this film really did open your eyes to the reality that occurred every single day around the world and that you truly don't understand. Being that environment and hearing the pain and suffering that many were going through was horrific bu...

This article was interesting due to the fact it is Shia LaBeouf, and his life once again. From young movie star to drunk star in a matter of years. This truly made me think about the whole idea of young stardom but also the person you are, much like Lindsay Lohan and Macaulay Culkin. All of these young stars have been influenced by their lifestyles but also their stardom in some instances. I find it crazy how much pressure was put on each of them but when things start to go down him people presum and say i knew this was going to happen which is silly. If someone in a normal life started drinking and smoking you would think oh they're just young, but being in the public eye they are represented as stupid, wasting their life and not being a good role model but in fact they are young and still have their childhood to live. Overall this story was an eye opener that someone like Shia had everything but felt this was the easiest way to leave that life behind and be normal but inf...

Comparison between Kingsman: The Secret Service and Skyfall

Image
Kingsman: The Secret Service is an action, adventure comedy produced in 2014 and released on 24th January 2015. This film was based upon a comic book. This film was directed by Matthew Vaughn who has also directed X-Men First Class and Kick-Ass. Kingsman: The Secret Service tells the story of a secretive organisation comprised of spies and agents. This film is based around the idea of backgrounds due to Colin Firth's character Harry Hart being a well brought up man and on the other spectrum is Taron Egerton's character Gary 'Eggsy' Unwin who is seen to be in a very disruptive environment and not very structured other than the counsel flats he lives in. The film shows the organisation recruiting into an ultra-competitive training program that sets a lot of twists and traps. There is a global threat but who will be the next Kingsman, and will it be just army scare or a real life nightmare. Skyfall is an action thriller and takes on a very similar but distant feel t...

This story has been circulating the news ever since the incident due to prosecution and the way it had been handled. In this you would expect jail time due to the fact that he did kill 6 people in his accident. The fact that he held back information that infact could have prevented this accident as he would never have been able to drive in the first place and all he gets is that right taken away a year to late i feel. Imagine the families of each of the victims and even the mother who lost her daughter, mum and dad. It's crazy to think how someone who planned a murder but never went through with it gets a sentence and 10 years rather than someone who killed 6 and injured 15 and just gets his driving license withdrawn, and he is still able to break those rules so why is he not locked up where he doesn't have the choice to break the one rule he was given. Overall this article really makes you think how justice is served. In this occasion i don't feel he got the righ...
