My Thoughts on Telling Lies by Simon Ellis

Image
I really loved this short film because you could truly relate with it due to it being what a large portion of our generation think on a daily basis. I found the whole short story plot very interesting and also very clever due to the story line that had been thought through and the use of the White words in the film that symbolised the White lies that were being told, it also tells the truth when it says " you don't seem very bothered" and in the White it says he is banging a rich women instead this shows that the White text also tells us what he is really thinking and what's on his mind. The use of the various voices made the whole story relatable because you we're able to distinguish the different emotions in their voices, I found this very clever in the portrayal of the story. I felt in my opinion that there were a few sections in this film which I didn't really understand the context behind it but it still made quite a dramatic effect and irony.  I didn...

My Thoughts on Love Does Grow On Trees

Image
My thoughts on this short film varied throughout the short film due to the story changing throughout. At the beginning of the short film you see this young boy playing football as you would expect that age boy to do, I liked this scene because it shows a long shot of the boy and the goal and then gets in for a close up to his emotions when he firstly sees the picture. You see the eyes truly grasp the image and in that second you see the addiction kick. You realise this because most people at that age would focus on the game and the excitement but this boy is at the stages were he is open his eyes and understand the concept of hormones and testosterone without him even knowing. This addiction seems to grow throughout because he finds the tree with all the images and magazine planted on the tree and he tries as hard as he can to get all of the images while he has the chance. Up to this part in the story I like that it shows what most teen boy goes through as he grows up and it shows...

My thoughts on my 60s video

My thoughts on my video were varied as it was the first video I had done and in a way it was a trial And error. The thing I liked the most about my video was the clarity of my voice, you were able to hear the dialogue easily without any misunderstandings. The thing I dislike most about my video was my pauses and also my comments just because it just seemed in a way a bit messy while the rest of my words were clear and thought through. The sound for this video was good because there was no background sound which would have prevented you from hearing what I was saying. The lighting was a tad too dark for the video, this was due to the effect and time of day, however overall I thought my first video was a good attempt.

Review of Ralph by Alex Winckler

Review of RALPH This short film was impressive due to the two languages being emitted, which were French and English but throughout it you would expect to have difficulty on understand what is having however it was the complete opposite because throughout it you felt connected to both the people. The story seemed to be well thought through and the portrayal of all the characters was clean and controlled. From the onset of the story you are shown the story of a boy travelling to see the girl he loved however after arriving and being hauled by an obstacle which was a main factor to finding the girl he loves, but in the end this obstacle ends up leading ralph to a  perfect ending to a misleading story.  Throughout the story many themes become to emerge. When Ralph arrives in France to find the girl and tries to contact her this shows a sign of love and commitment because he has travelled all this way to find her but something goes wrong but he does not give up theref...

Television Series Review - Luther Season 1

Image
Plot Summary Idris Elba who plays DCI John Luther who was earlier suspended from duty returns, to find his personal life jeopardised by his professional life once again. Genre Drama, crime and suspense. Review  Throughout each episode (6 in Season 1) you become to understand Luther and his odd but extremely useful way of dealing with certain cases and characters. Each story for each episode seems to become more inventive, they all seem to becoming much more powerful which seems to grasp the audience much more. The point i didn't demand as much was each time you figured out who the mouse was the cat and program seemed to be much more focused on the Law and Order side of things rather than focusing on the story plot. Throughout each episode i was gripped by each path they led you down and each turn it took you you stayed with it due to the tremendous acting of all involved especially Idris Elba. His performance was breath taking each time and you never lost hope in him. Al...
