Tyrannosaur Film & Character Development
Tyrannosaur Film and Character Development
In our lesson we watched a film called 'Tyrannosaur', watching this film made me recognise what i needed to add to my characters because in this film each character was strong and memorable which meant you were able to understand them and their stories. Everything that has happened in their pasts and their present lives made them who they were and this made me really grip to each character and want that in my characters for my story.
How can you enrich your Narrative?
I found this film very useful in way that made me question my characters and try and develop them further. It made me think about making my characters go through different situations which make them stronger and bring them to the final series/episode which shows them for they have become and the obstacles they had to overcome to become this way. Although you see certain hard characters you also see insecurities which i would like to add to a few of my characters to show that you can relate to the character and understand them.
What elements can bring your character's alive?
I think a variety of elements can bring each of my characters live and also the story due to the elements. I think the main element that will bring my characters out would be a tight and close relationship to certain characters, however also a distant relationship that slowly becomes mended due to trust and understanding, i think this would be good because it shows certain insecurities that you would be able to relate to.
How will you actively seek to serve your chosen audience?
My chosen audience is around the ages of 16/17 to around 28 ages rage. I feel that i can attract this age audience due to certain chilling scenes which create a sense of tension and suspense without the act of making it unbearably scary for viewers as i feel that would lose the audience as many are not a fan of these things. I will include certain scenes that attract the audience in a passionate way and also a physical and mental way playing on your mind. I think this works well with the age range.

Good you have thought through your answers and tailored them to what would be required in your particular story. I think that you have displayed a good understanding of how characters are developed.
